Set up your email account automatically on your Apple device

If you use an email provider like iCloud, Google, or Yahoo, Mail can automatically set up your email account with just your email address and password. Here's how:

  1. Tap on Settings look for Passwords & Accounts and then tap Add Account.
  2. Tap your email provider.
  3. Enter your email address and password.
  4. Tap Next and wait for Apple Mail to verify your account by connecting to that service.
  5. Choose information from your email account, like Contacts or Calendars, that you want to see on your device. 
  6. Tap Save.




If you don't see your email provider, tap "Other" at the bottom and then you will need to add the account manually.


Set up your email account manually in Apple mail

If you need to set up your email account manually, make sure that you know the email settings for your account. If you don’t know them, you can contact us for the details. 

  1. Find Settings on your Apple device then look for Passwords & Accounts, then tap Add Account.
  2. Tap Other which is usually at the bottom, then tap Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for your account so it can contact to your email account.
  4. Tap Next. Apple Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup. If/when Apple Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.



Enter account settings manually 

If Apple Mail can't find your email settings, then you need to enter them manually. So you will need to tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Choose IMAP or POP for your new account. If you choose IMAP the emails stay on the email server unless deleted, but If you choose POP the emails get downloaded to the device.
  2. Enter the information for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server, Then tap Next. If you don't have this information, please contact us so we can provide you with this information.
  3. If your email settings are correct, tap Save to finish. If the email settings are incorrect, you'll be asked to edit them.
